Can you survive on your own?

Can you? Without any support like a hermit? For how long do you think? My only support group at the moment is my family, but what about when they are not here anymore? My life is messed up bad.. :(

I don't know. I hope so. I don't think I would react as badly as some people would, but it still might be hard somtimes. It's gonna happen to me sooner or later anyways.

I don't know. I think in a way it would be good for me because I have people here who help me too much and allow me to avoid. My SA has definitly got worse while I've had people around me to help me like that.

Being a hermit isn't so bad if you have internet access. It's easier than the alternatives. Takes a little getting used to, and isn't for everyone, of course.

Buy everything online. The only complication is finding a job that doesn't involve leaving the cave, but there are some.

If by survive you mean not dieing of starvation or hypothermia then yes I believe I could. However, I lack the aptitude of cooking or being a handy-man so my quality of life surely go down. Plus I'm not making enough money to get anywhere on my own. My mom thinks I should move out now because my 2 older brothers moved out right after high school. They had girlfriends and stuff and where very mechanically inclined so it was easier for them.

Definitely not. I don't have any life-skills. I've never had a job. I have no money. I'd be homeless if it weren't for the SSI that my disabled mother gets that we both live on. It's pathetic & terrible, I know.

I left home many years ago at 17, it has been a struggle since but I think it has helped to not have to rely on people, I've shared accomodation with my brother and mates over the years, the last ten years my kid has lived with me also.

It is still a struggle though, I feel like giving up sometimes and going back to my parents but that would drive me nuts anywho

Lol there's a book like that called "My Side Of The Mountain". It's about a fourteen year old boy who runs way & lives in a "cave" he digs under a tree in the mountains. It was based on a true story.

& this was a completely irrelevant post lol
