Blah im not good at talking through the mic in chat rooms :(

Sometimes i go to meetcam.com and i tried talking with the mic but im so freakin nervous and im always thinkin about what to say before hand.I hate bein nervous with the speakin, its bugs me :(

Is this normal or am nuts? I can like say hi and stuff but im so timid with it, not like with typing like im doin now.

It would scare me too i think. And i did that once on MSN, you can pick up the phone and talk to the person you are MSNing too. But i was like errr, is it ok if i talk to you only like this?

Yeah i just tried my microphone on that website, i couldnt really get up enough courage to say hi everyone.I said like can anyone hear me? :(

I have a mic but am way too shy to ever use it in a chatroom or on msn. however I do use it from time to time when I play online computer games. it was difficult at first but I had to use it when playing team games and eventually I got used to it. besides, if anyone gives me a hard time then I just kill them :lol:

Cool Horatio! I also use it sometimes when playing games online, mainly in the xbox 360 and the battlefield 2 ones.ONe time someone invited me to a private chat, turned out to be a 12 year old kid in sweden.I was really uncomfortable with that, i just like said i had to go im meeting someone at the mall.Sometimes people add you to your friends list on that thing.One time though i enjoyed the mic chat do some degree playing ghost recon advanced warfighter.I was so caught up in the people shootin at me lol

I cant go into a chatroom as it is nevermind use a mic in one!!!!

takes me enough just to use messenger on occasion

I tried that once over Yahoo Messenger. It was so awkward!! The guy I was talking to had to be at least 10 years older than me and he cussed a LOT.
I was freaked out but at the same time having a blast because my brother was sitting at the computer beside me and we were both acking really stupid and inmature! LOL
If I had to speak to someone I didn't know, over a mic, one on one, the most I'd get in would probably be "Hi, I'm Jennifer." 8O

You know being able to speak on the internet is a god send for us SAers. We can actually practice our speaking skills with people from the safety of being behind our computer screens. The more you practice, the better you will become and this will definitely show improvement in your real life speaking skills.

I didn't actually know you could do that. I need to get myself a mike and get in there.

i cant even talk to somebody one-on-one on aim. a mic is outta the question. though when i did have xbox live i had no trouble talking to ppl while playing. im really weird. :roll:
