Being Transgender and its effects on SA

Hello there.
I'm trans and I know in my case that being trans is the reason why I have a hard time talking to people. It started when I was 5. In kindergarten we had classes segregated by sex, so I was with the wrong gender. I clammed up and hid within myself.

I'm 49 years old now, and I really doubt I can do anything about being shy and not knowing what to say. I'm not seeing a psychologist, and I know I should, but I'm worried about money, cuz even with insurance it's expensive.

This forum is free. You have found the right place to start to open up. We understand "shyness". I have been to a therapist but it didn't do me any good because while I was in the middle of pouring out my heart the time was up. Plus the therapists office had no chairs only large cushions and a table with scented candles. This room was next to the waiting room and you could hear people talking. I was paying $60 a visit and only got a sore ***. This place is healthier than that. Welcome to a safe refuge.
