out of curiosity, why do you think there would be a connection?

ive noticed when people have any kind of abnormality, mental or physical, they tend to have not just one problem/diagnosis but several or even many. its a very strong correlation. why is that?? It makes sense for premature babies to have multiple problems and then health problems have complications, but these two reasons still dont completely explain it.

I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about here. Could you give some specific examples?

Regardless of what you are trying to achieve with this poll, the result will be biased towards the negative option. Most people here think they are worthless failures and would not admit that they are actually good at something, no matter how insignificant.

i am not sure that i have used the term "motor skill learning" correctly.
anyway i'm speaking about learning complex skills that require quick and elaborate physical movements and thinking.
for example driving a car or playing a complicated computer game at hard level which requires operating mouse and keyboard rapidly.

I can play bass guitar, that involves quick thinking and very fast finger movements and coordination. That kinda what you mean?

Okay, I see. I can become very good at doing pretty much anything, but I usually need to practice a lot with it first. I used to beat very hard video games without too much effort, though I did got totally whacked the first 10 times. There was also a period where I drove a lot because of a summer job. Though I didn't have much experience driving, I still manage to drive myself around town (which I wasn't familiar with) throughout all summer without getting involve in a single accident or problem whatsoever. Coming from someone clumsy like me, I must admit that I never cease to impress myself.

I guess I could become a great speaker and communicator if I devoted more energy to it (which I'm trying to do right now). Looking back, I think I've been doing a lot of progress.

I voted no, but I'm not really sure... I suppose it depends of the task. For some yes, for some not at all.

I love computer games, I actually think having sa helps with the problem solving aspect in video games because we are able to think analytically. I think my motor skill are reasonable. I rode the bike without training wheels at the age of 4. I taught myself how to play the drums, I think my ability lacks in the drums cause I taught myself but it didn’t affect my coordination skills. Interesting question! :)

Indeed!! And I think that is sooooo sweet you were riding your bike so early. You've always been amazing, Kitty! You are amazing to me.

Oh that's not always true. Admittedly alot of us don't give ourselves the full credit we deserve. But I think it wouldn't be that hard to say, oh I'm not THAT bad at games. That's what I am saying too! I'm pretty good at video games and hitting nails with a hammer & stuff.

I tell you though, every time I play Tomb Raider, I get so anxious when she's having to grab all those frickin cliffs and ledges, my hands sweat! It's the same thing when I watch Tom Cruise climbing that precipice in Mission Impossible 2! Vertigo to the extreme!

No in games like call of duty im nowhere near fast enough no matter how much i practise so i just teamkill because it makes me feel better.

I play smash brothers.. But I am not really that good at it (yet hehe)

I am reaaaallly good at drawing and i am p sure that is a complex motor task.
Actually.. I'm not good at drawing yet. I'm good at working really hard so when i am done drawing it APPEARS i can draw well... However I do not draw as fast as i wish i could.

....someday... ::p:

I've always failed at online games, everyone seems better than me.

On the other hand, I play the drums, dunno if it takes much skill to do what I do, meh..

Ok I'm bad in real life. I mean I'm awful at basketball and other irl games. I never had a bike since ~16 years old and never learned how to drive it good. But I was good in some computer games. I played a lot of Quake 3 so I became quite good at that time and I think I still have some skills in it no matter that I haven't played it for years... I was good at some strategies.
So how could I answer this question?
