Anyone interested in forming an SP group in LONDON???

 HELLO!!

Would anyone be interested in helping to form a Social Phobia support group around the S.London area??

This group would be open to ALL sufferers - regardless of age, race, gender etc... It would give us all a chance to make friendships and gain advice, guidance and a shoulder to cry on.

I do not know of any other related SP groups in the area (apart from these "trendy" so-called "support" groups in Central London that charge the earth!!! )

If anyone thinks this is an interesting idea, please get in touch.
Best wishes! :)

I'm interested.
I've also heard of those self support groups and was never interested but you don't need to pay for being a member and attend the meets they organize.
In any case, I don't see why we could set up a group of our own as an alternative.
Regards,
Have

:D Hi there! I certainly will get in touch, or alternatively, feel free to email me! The group would be an informal gathering - a "meeting of minds". Absolutely no charge or fees (unless there were so many people attending we had to hire a hall!! 8O)

Pub or coffee house might be a good idea?!

You're quite alright m'lady. I've tried a couple of times to start a meeting where I live but no joy. It also scared the pants off me so good on you for trying. Again I hope you have better success than I did.

I live in a hole in the ground. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat....

Actually I live in 'Nam.... well Cheltenham. So it's not that far from London but just too far for me. Ho hum.

Have you also tried SAUK squirrelnutkin? They have a dedicated section for meetings, which seem very popular. I'm sure there must be one already in London. Remus has a link as his signature I think.

Birmingham and Milton Keynes? Life can be so cruel.... at least you've heard of Cheltenham which is more than I had before I moved there. Mind you I am Cornish so electricity is still new to me....

Hi to everyone, and i,m writing just to wish you good luck with your group. My name is Marta, i,m from Madrid (Spain), and we meet every saturday in Madrid.
Of course, there is no fee or charge, we join in any kind of activities, such as playing tennis, riding on horses, swimming or just go out for dinner. We are like a big family, and even we go on holiday together.
Good luck again Squirrelnutkins with your group, and I wish we can meet together one day in the future.
