Adelaide

Hi Blueshyness

I am from Adelaide. I think there are 6 or so people from South Australia on this site.

Hi there, I'm from Adelaide too!

Know what you mean about feeling self-conscious at times being out in public (eg Rundle Mall) - like being followed with a spot light and alarm bells...

Hi everyone, I'm in Adelaide too :) I'm a bit (a lot) anxious at the moment, I have a meeting tomorrow at Centrelink to discuss getting back into the work force! This is going to be a challange for me as I hardly ever discuss how I feel with anyone and I'm not sure I'll be able to explain it without sounding like an idiot! Wish me luck :)

So blueshyness and others from Adelaide, what part of Adelaide do you all hail from. I have pretty much ownly lived in the north eastern suburbs of Adelaide Para Vista, Banksia Park, Fitzroy, Greenacres and Clearview.

Hi All,
I'm out near Gawler at the moment. My trip to Centrelink wasn't as bad as I thought it might be! I had previously filled in some forms to be assessed for intensive assisstance and we discussed the best agencies for me to look at. She was lovely and very understanding.
Isn't it funny how things happen though, when I got home I had a message from where I'm currently working doing a few hours a week (have been doing this for many years) to see if I want more hours but at a different location, well you all probably know the terror I felt at this. I decided to say yes and to finally tell the boss about my condition. I don't know what I was expecting (the worst) but I got a lovely and understanding response (couldn't believe it). I've got extra training and did one day last week (medicated) so I guess my aim is to become comfortable enough to do it unaided! I really want this to work out, I just need to take one thing at a time instead of worrying about everything that could happen and letting it overwhelm me, and do the best I can, not be the best if you all know what I mean!
Take care

Wow, so many from Adelaide. :) I will hopefully someday be a proud citizen of the Hillbank area, myself, which is very close to Adelaide.

hi, i from Victor harbor..

I know what ya mean about Rundall mall and centrelink. Im actually thinking of moving to sydney becuase i have found that sydney siders arent as conservative like adelaideons and more casual types with lots of social and ethnic classes that you dont feel as inferior to others..

Howdy

Just wanted to throw my hat into the bin, I also have the misfortune of being in Adelaide :O)

Male, geez 34 now, hell 35 in month or so - starting to get old.

Im a hermit + a list, 100mg Zoloft consumer, so I think Im pretty well stuffed.

Also posted in the other ¨anyone from Adelaide?¨ post in case mod´s are checking for double posts

I dont know if people post / chat much in these forums, I hope so, I think it would be good for me to pop in every once and a while.

Probably anti social to use the net to chat about your anti socialness - woops Ive gone cross eyed!
