Anyone experience with wellbutrin?

I've never used Wellbutrin, but I have heard both good and bad about it. It seems like any of the medicines...it works great for some and not so well for others.

I am taking it, now on week 5 with no results except lack of sleep. However, I have been rather sick and I had my wisdom teeth pulled, and I just now started on the 300 mg dose (was on 150 before) so I dont think I have given it a fair trial.

I plan to stick with it another month to decide if is worth it or not.

Wellbutrin is one of the newer antidepressant and what the doctor prescribed to me at first. For me, I would feel irritable and angry alot so I stopped taking it after 2 weeks. But it is true that different people react differently. I now take Celexa for a week and it seems to be helping me, but still too short to say I guess.

I have been on 150 mg for almost 2 weeks, and it seems like it is working. It seems it helps with self confidence--but as far as anxiety, it seems that it increases (especially when taken with coffee, anxiety goes thru the roof). I assume this is why Wellbutrin is not always prescribed as a first line medication for SP. It seems to help aleve some of the negative views of myself and shame, and helps me come out of my shell somewhat.

Cliffs notes: It works, but increases anxiety in certain situations (not really social situations!)

I've been using it over a month. At the beginning, I was very irritable. I haven't felt any big changes. I haven't become a social butterfly and still avoid going places. I still have anxiety. I'm supposed to go back to the doctor for a follow up and they will probably increase my dosage. We will see. This med hasn't caused me to gain weight which is good, but if its not helping who cares?

wellbutrin was one of my meds i took for a few months. i was bad and didn't get the refill in time so when the end of the cycle was over, i'd end up going a few days w/o meds so it kinda messed me up a bit. anyway, wellbutrin kinda worked psychologically, but it gave me other side effects. i found that my hands would get shaky so it was embarassing to eat in public. eventually i stopped taking it alltogether and no, i didn't do it as advised by the doc. i just quit cold turkey... so it's been some years since i've had wellbutrin, but that's basically all i remember is the hand shaking deal. i dunno how common that is...

I took 150mg of the generic XL for a month and a half and it was basically no more than an expensive sugar pill to me. It did nothing to help my anxiety, depression, or concentration. I also expierenced no side effects.
