Anxiety while driving or in the car

A couple weeks ago me and friend went running on our local bike trail like we always do Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There is a small parking lot close to the trail where we always park. It's a two lane road and there is a stop light but it's for people on the trail. When we got up to the parking lot we had to wait to turn in because a lot of cars were coming from the opposite direction. A bunch of people pulled up behind us and we started freaking out because we knew that they were all behind us saying "what's wrong with these people? Why have they stopped?"We could feel all the people become pissed off behind us. My friend who was driving was trying to pull in but cars just kept fucking coming from the opposite direction and I though for a minute we were going to get in a car cash, which lead to more anxiety. After we turned in, we both had a little anxiety freak out.

Does stuff like this every happen to you?

I like going for a drive if its a back country road and you can enjoy the scenery. It helps clear my head. But driving in general has become very stressful. So yeah I get anxiety and pissed off at idiot drivers. I try not to let it bother me too much. Its so common now. People tailgating you, not using turn signals, passing on a double yellow line. Everyone seems in a hurry all the time. You need a tougher skin to drive these days. Too much road rage. Try using relaxation techniques to ease the anxiety.

I avoid tricky intersections whenever I can...so I dont feel pressured like that....it's almost funny being me really....I wonder how much gas I could save in a months time if I didnt choose alternate less confrontational routes.
