Amazing results

I'm sure some people are aware of my 14 year olds struggle with sweating, especially her hands. We tryed the Hidrex at home for months using tap water. She had her first session at our local hospital using the Idrostar and a solution of .005% glyco in the hand water tray,on thursday. Amazing amazing her hands haven't been damp once. She completed a full day at school, even having a situation where someone had to draw around her hand during one lesson(possibly the worst thing ever that she'd have to face normally)!
We have 6 more sessions booked, they are only offered on a weekly basis as they were concerned about side effects with the glyco.
Please please keep your fingers crossed that this amazing outcome continues- I feel like I have a different child at the moment..happy, positive and more chatty.lol.

Hi ukchick, I am glad idrostar works for your daughter finally. I've been using idrostar for months and no luck for me. Maybe I should try glyco. I am not sure what it is. Hopefully I could find it in drug store with no prescription.

Well living in the Uk I believe the solution is really expensive. To be honest I'm expecting a battle to continue getting the solution after her treatments finish at the hospital but obviously ionto has to continue to keep getting results. It's the 12m Idrostar they use,is that the same one you are using? My daughter used the Hidrex for months with no results but it stopped my feet sweating within 2 weeks. I hope you start to see results soon x

I really admire how much support you are showing your daughter and how you understand how much it affects her. When I was 14 my parents kept telling me not to worry and I'll just grow out of it. Now 23, I have only had short spans of success trying different things for myself, but for years I had to suffer through those school aged years with nothing I could do myself. I hope your daughter finds continued success and realizes how much you are doing for her!

Ahh thanks so much,it's really good of you to say. I did suffer through school and in the end begged my parents for the surgery, I would like to avoid that for my daughter so I' m trying all I can to help.
Can you believe though, this is day 6 and her hands are still dry! Amazing.
I'm just hoping and praying we can continue to get the glyco solution without a massive fuss because of the expense. The hospital must realise it's ongoing treatment!

6 days of dryness must feel wonderful for her. Did her hands reach 100% dryness? Has the hand treatment have an effect on the feet. I know that when My hands are under control, my feet usually follow.

I agree, when my hands were better so were my feet. She did achieve full dryness and her feet were better also. Her hands started to get clammy last night and I will expect them to probably go to full wetness today. 6 dry days is fantastic for her though, she has her next appointment tomorrow.Hopefully each time will last longer.

If she can get by on treatment once a week that will be spectacular. I have found for me that treatment never really lasts longer over time. The idea is to keep your treatment consistent enough where the wetness stays under control. I know it's easier said than done. I've had very good luck with it for years. This year has been challenging do what seems to be my whole nervous system being out of wack. I'm always grateful when my hands aren't dripping.

uk chick, i am truly SO HAPPY to hear this. at first i wondered if you got my messages, and luckily i remembered to log back in just to check once in awhile what's going on in the forum. and to my surprise, the hidrostar did work and i'm just absolutely delighted that it was effective on your daugher!!! keep going at it! take things one day at a time. and do update us on how her sessions are going. so far summer is starting to peak and it's getting awfully humid. unfortunately my ionto hasn't been going to well because of the sudden change in weather. i think my body got a shock lol. and so my hands are starting to sweat again, unlike a couple of weeks ago when it was still cool spring. it was totally under control. I'm now wondering if i should try puting 1mg of glycco in the water trays.. but i'm scared of feeling the high voltage LOL. coz they said it's just a conductor.

Well it kills me to be negative again but after the 6 days of dryness, my daughter has now had normal wetness for 5 days. She was in tears today after school. To be fair, this week of school has been dominated by major exams and is the biggest challenge to her anxiety levels!!! Aaarrrggggghhhhh

I'm SO sorry! I'm glad I didn't have to cope with HH when I was a kid--or the mother of one. Let's hope things improve soon.

dear UKchick, oh gosh i am so sorry to hear this. but just so you know, almost the same thing happened to me. last year when i first purchased the ionto, i thought it wouldn't work. i tried doing it for a few days, then 2 weeks later BOOM it worked like f'ing magic. it was working really great for like 1 week straight. and then all of a sudden as i got higher (but also because the temperatures were increasing), i dunno what happened it just kind of slowly stopped taking effect?? after this i stopped because i had to move cities, and was in the middle of jobs so i didn't have time to regularly do treatments everyday. hence the ONE YEAR BREAK from ionto. but i started again just a few months ago. and it started taking effect after 6 weeks (my gawd). but it started to kind of work again after that.

i don't wanna give you and your daughter false hope and say it's going to work. but if i were you, i'd seriously still keep on doing ionto. regardless there's immediate effectivity or not. i took other people's suggestions here (my post was about 1 year of not doing ionto), and surprisingly it started working again. people here told me that i was doing too little amp at short time intervals. and so i was just patient and did it everyday until i got to a higher voltage. and instead of doing 10minute sessions i would now go up to 20 or 25min. also kept it at (+) throughout the whole time.

so my advice is, just keep going at ionto. give it a few months. how high did she reach in voltage?

Ahh thanks fr the support. I'm wondering though if I should do treatments at home aswell as the weekly glyco at the hospital. The hospital wont increase the number of weekly treatments incase the glyco causes side effects but if I just used water at home for my daughter, wonder if that would give it a better chance of working.
Anyone mixed the two? Say two weekly traetments of just water in the ionto tray combined with one weekly treatment of the glyco solution in the tray............ Any ideas appreciated x
Ps. I did purchase the same machine for home use as they use at the hospital ie. settings and water amount would be identical.

Sure, why not do an extra treatment or two. Get some glyco tablets and crush them, Avert or whatever it's sold as in the UK. Or order from Pharmacy.ca in Canada. I do find it kinda weird it just stopped working, but as I discovered for myself is that if the body gets overstressed, it seems to bypass the ionto effects. My hands are dry to the point of that I have cuts on two fingers that are like open paper cuts. at the same time they will just randomly sweat, then be come dry again. Our bodies can do weird things.

Since treatment worked at the hospital, you know it will work again when your daughter de-stresses.

Will have a go,just seems confusing that the Idrostar has a schedule ie.day 1,day 2,day 4 etc for maximum effect and going to the hospital only once a week- how can we get best results!
