I don't quite know how to wrod my reply to this thread so I'll just wing it. Let me give you a lil background first:
I had been drinking ever since I could steal it (about 12yo) smoking soon followed and cannabis followed soon after that. If you asked my friends that knew me at that time, I bet not one would guess I had a problem, I hid it well. When I hit my twenties though, it was obvious I had a problem. Luckily I saw it for myself and managed to get out of it.
I would wake in the mornings and instead of coffee it would be whiskey, of course with a joint to help it go down smooth, I probably spent the best part of 5years or so permanantly pissed, stoned or both.
I agree that alcohol and even weed can help you sweat less, I'm not gonna pretend to know if it's chemical or psychological, but it some cases it can help. What I'm not going to do is promote reliability on using it solely for this reason. Alcohol is not good, sure you can have a great time with it, and I still do drink now and then but I haven't been "blind drunk" for almost 4 years now.
I ended up more depressed than ever, locked myself out from other people (even more than I did already) and found I needed a drink if I wanted to do anything. You can guess what it does to your bank account, and when your bank account can't support it, someone elses might.
So I guess I'm saying please don't rely on alcohol to solve your hh troubles, in the end you'll almost certainly end up with more than you started with
