Thanks for sharing. It's a very good guide not only on how to be outgoing but also how to build self confidence. I'm saving the link and definitely share my with colleagues.

Nice.

I am looking for a "Guide to how to bluff my way through interactions and fly under the social radar."

It's hard work not to be noticed, I'm not all that interested in being more outgoing, just be able to cope when I go out.

Here's to the art of hiding in plain sight.

You should write it. You could make it dark humour.. it would be hilarious. lol Nothing better than realising other people out there have the same issues and humor always helps. Id say all the awkward teenagers in the world would identify with it (not to mention those who actually do have SA). It might also help bring about awareness.

Best seller.

ehh im not sure if there is much i could do about becoming more outgoing...im just too introverted and then you add in my avoidance and there you go..

i wish there was a guide book on how to actually ENJOY casual social interactions!not a guide on how to be more social but on how to enjoy them..thats what i need..

That's an interesting point.... Ive never thought about it that way before.

"Learn how to be more social" implies you're not capable or doing something wrong, or not doing something, and doesn't really assume any enjoyment once you've learnt anyway.

"Learn how to enjoy" is a totally different way of tackling things.

I can relate one hundred percent.

It really takes it out of me to socialize.

yes and to this day i cannot find any info on how to alleviate this problem..i mark it down to being very introverted but it still makes life quite difficult in many ways..coming home from work im more tired/drained from the socializing i did during the day than i am the actual work!it takes me all night to recover but then back to the same thing again the next day..
