where to meet people

I'm dying of loneliness and don't even really care anymore about social anxiety, it seems minor compared to this loneliness and boredom. (i'm sure it wont later) but where can I meet people who are into the same things i'm into?? I'm 17, and want to meet mature minded individuals with goals and passions, i'm into nature and everything about nature mainly, nutrition, health, and as I said, anything natural/naturalistic as it's something i'm very ambitious and passionate about...

The thing is, i've never met another 17 year old who isn't into drinking and just chilling with friends in society. Where can I meet mature minded individuals who are equally passionate about nature and naturalism? I've been looking into environmental activism but I can't find anything around me at the moment... if you know anything around Vancouver that'd be nice also.. i'm pretty desperate.

Plain usual speech, you're young, and so on ... forth, more stuff.

That never helps.

Desperation, terrible place to be, terrible. Off and on I am there. Dangerous. Keep mind ... minding.

I cannot help you with where to look. I don't know.

If anything you get from this, you're not alone in loneliness.

Have you tried boyscouts/girlscouts? Any where you live? - Some of those are religious (different religions) and some are not, at least here. They camp out and go have jamborees etc.
You can still join even if you are older, might be expected to help with the smaller kids, that isn't necessary though..
I know some people there who aren't into alcohol etc, very into nature and such.

Also, some church groups, if you aren't too anti-religious? Youth can have special events or make music together etc. Again, depends what is available where you live.
Some youth centers can offer interesting courses too. Daylight events or workshops should be safe from alco and such.
Or, you could start or join a band or drama group or something creative locally? (Might wanna check people first though, some in those circles can be into alco and cigarettes and such.. Or 'nature-lovin'/eco group? Again, something organised by church groups or youth centers could be 'safer'.. Maybe there's even an 'anti-alco' prevention program for youth, or you/people could start one? I bet there are at least some people like you out there!!)
