I find that people are capable of doing/saying really fvcked up things as long as other people are doing it. herd mentality sets in and MOST humans, being a social species, will do something as long as they get that feeling of approval from others...that metaphorical pat on the back....its shocking to see what people will go along with just out of fear of being unpopular, not fitting in, not getting approval, being rejected, or just being labeled negatively in some way. I guess it all depends on who your peers and friends are...and even THEN it also depends on how much of your individuality and morality do you want to sacrifice just to be one of the crowd...
