So I've kind of heard of this one before, but I wanted to see if it's common.
A few weeks ago, I was watching a DVD in my room. A few minutes in, I started thinking about how many movies I had and in what decade they were made. A few minutes after that, I had torn up my DVD shelves and was scribbling out what movies were made when.
I have dozens and dozens of index cards in my room, just filled with pointless lists. Favorite books, favorite movies, music (like I don't know what I like or something).
Not all of them are on paper. Sometimes I'll just walk up to my movies or videogames and think "Hmm, I wonder how many are foreign" or "what percentage of these have I watched with my girlfriend?" Then I'll actually count them out and do the math.
Anyone else do this or something like this with lists or list making?
