Hello,

With my particular HH i notice lately my feet have been cold a lot and sweaty or damp. My hands are usually dry and warm. I treat them with ionotophoresis once a week but ti's too time consuming to treat my feet also. Do any of have the cold sweaty feet a lot? Any tips?

Socks? I do the same. Ionto for the hands and I just deal with the feet. Sucks not to be able to wear sandals in Florida, but I can tolerate it.

I feel you Broch. I lived in Miami for 10 years and I could only wear sandals only if I did ionto on them. But then ionto on hands+feet+miami heat= big compensatory sweating so I gave up the sandals. Now I moved to LA and dry weather here really helps :)

"big compensatory sweating" whats that mean?

I also have the same problem, since i was little I've always had really really cold feet and finger tips, but now there my feet are cold AND sweaty, how annoying, anyway its not that bad as i can wear shoes and socks most of the time or thongs dont cause too much trouble either.

But is there a way to cure sweaty feet?
is the best answer Ionto?
are there any threads here that can show me how to do the Ionto?
and how long does the Ionto last?

Thanks!

compesatory sweating means that the sweat you normally have at your hands goes to other places such as your forehead. It happens to me sometimes. There are no known ways(except maybe chinese medicine) to cure excessive sweating. The most effective way to treat it is surgery. There are two types of surgery, however many people consider it too invasive and it often leads to compensatory sweating. The best non-invasive way to treat it, in my opinion, is botox. Except it is very expensive if your insurance don't cover it. The next in line would be ionto. You can make an ionto machine yourself.

Ionto typically takes about 2 weeks to see results. After getting consistent results, it takes once treatment per week to maintain it for most people. I suggest you try over the counter antiperspirant first, then get a prescription one. Good luck

any recommendations?

Different ones work for different people. Personally, Hydrosal gel works amazing for me. However, I recommend to try the softer ones(commercial over the counter ones such as Dove or Degree) first before getting the stronger stuff such as Drysol or Hydrosal Gel. I had terrible experiences with Dove or Degree, but they may work for you.
