Bugs crawling all over your skin?!?!?!

Does anyone else get this feeling? I feel like it is happening to me all the time. It's been happening so much lately I don't know why. It's like I can feeling the sensation of crawling and I can actually see, or atleast I think I see something crawlin' all over me. Then I'll look back at there is nothing there. It's so weird. It's been happening at least seven times a day lately. I just have to check and check and check to make sure nothing is there.
I'll even slap my arm or wherever it is just because it feels so real. I swear I see it, like it's so real, but then the second I look away and look back there is nothing there. It just doesn't make any sense because it's not something I'm afraid of or anything, it's just annoying. How can something feel and look so real but not actually be there? Just wondering, but does this happen to any other people?

Is it possible you maybe have extra sensitive skin? ...I get crawly feelings sometimes...in my lower legs..& nothing is there...that for me is probably poor circulation down there....im pretty sure atleast...its from a previous medical condition down there....but I also sometimes get crawly feelings on my arms too....My gram used to call supposed tiny microscopic bugs that bothered her "Noseeums"...dont know if there is any such thing for sure or not...but could be...my skin is super sensitive to stuff I think....so I feel like things or these possible "Noseeums"..are bothering me from time to time too...sometimes i think it could just be the hairs on my arms are causing the feeling too....dont know if this helped you or not....but I do get a crawly feeling every now and again...so i had to post :)

Don't know about bugs crawling over me but I sometime have skin so sensitive that it hurts to touch it. Not all that often, maybe one every couple of months or so. Its like a super sensitive tingle and I can't bare to be touched anywhere on my body.
My man gets it too...think its normal.

Good to know I'm not the only one who feels this. The weirdest part isn't the feeling, but the fact that I can actually see something crawling on me even though it's not there at all. Yeah, my skin is pretty sensitive too. Hehe noseeums. Creepy crawlies ;).

OMFG

I thought i was the only one with this issue, i just jump and hit myself and i don't see anything. Minutes later i do the same shyt all over and over all again and i get really anxious about it. I won't stay calm or relax......

The only kinds of bugs that I have ever had (and still have, to an extent) a phobia of are spiders. I was bitten on the face by one years ago, and for about a year after that I'd feel these little tingly sensations inside of my right arm. I knew it was in my head, but it would creep me out, especially when it would happen as I was drifting off to sleep. I'd imagine these little pods under my skin hatching and crawling under my skin from my head to my toes.

Now and then, I'll flip out and swat at fictitious insect on my leg, but I usually follow it up with "Got it!" so that people won't think I'm crazy.

i sometimes get an itchy feeling like ants are under my skin. never actually "seen" anything though. Its annoying because once the itching starets, it doesn;t stop. its annoying to have to keep slapping/scratching when i KNOW nothing is there.

i try to ignor it by telling myself it is purely pschological. but like any other situation where you tell yourself to not think about it, it makes you think about it MORE!

its annoying as hell!

its mostly my arms, legs, scalp and back. especially annoying when it is a part of my back i can't reach!

Ha, wonder what she was really thinking. Noseeums are tiny bugs that live in beach sand and maybe other places and can get through screens to bite you. They're kinda like mosquitoes but smaller.

What I usually think is happening is that I have a loose hair tickling me somewhere - which does happen, but sometimes I can't make it stop by finding the hair. Or there's nothing there. The inside of my left foot was itching just this afternoon, and it was driving me crazy because I knew there was nothing wrong! The most common and annoying thing to itch is the front of my neck. Yeah, my hair's tickling it now, but I bet once I brush it away, the tickling won't go away - it hasn't. I don't think it ever goes away while I'm thinking about it. This happens every few days!

does anyone think this is related to their other "issues" or is it a seperate medical problem?

for me personally i don't link it with my AvPD as it only happens when i am relaxed and chiiling in my favourite chair surfing the net or watching TV.

If it happened at times where i was "anxious" i could understand it on some level.

But that is not the case.

Did you hear about Morgellon's disease? I just read it occurs esp. in the USA and is probably linked to the GMO food.
